What this tool does
Keeps a rectangle of your image — give its width and height, and where its top-left corner sits — and throws the rest away. Several images at once, all cut to the same rectangle. If the rectangle reaches outside any of them, nothing is cropped: you get told which file and how big it actually is, rather than a batch half done.
Cropping an image deletes. Cropping a PDF does not.
Worth knowing, because the same word means two different things. Our PDF cropper sets a window: the content outside it stays in the file and anyone can bring it back. This tool re-encodes the part you kept, on its own — the pixels you cut are never drawn and never written. They are gone, and there is no undo here, so keep your original if you might want it back.
The flip side: if you are cutting something out of a picture because it is private, this is the tool that actually does it. As always, the page is static and keeps working offline, verified by our automated tests on every release — including one that checks the cut pixels really are absent from the file we hand you.
