PDF Page Numbers
Your PDF never leaves your device — the numbers are added entirely in your browser.
e.g. 2- to skip a title page · up to 60 MB
What this tool does
Adds page numbers to a PDF: six positions, four formats, a starting number and an optional page range — put 2- to leave a title page unnumbered. Your existing content is untouched; the numbers are drawn on top, and every page keeps its original size and orientation.
Rotated and mixed-size pages, done right
Real PDFs are rarely uniform: merged documents and scans mix portrait, landscape and sideways pages in one file. Most numbering tools measure the first page and apply that box to all of them, which puts numbers off the paper or lying on their side. This one reads every page's own size and rotation, so the number lands where you asked and reads upright — on each page. The geometry is derived from the PDF rotation rules and proven by tests, not nudged until it looked right. As always, the page is static and keeps working offline, verified by our automated tests on every release.
